In fact, research shows that the education system in the United States is in need of significant improvement.
According to a report from the National Center for Education Statistics, only about 65% of high school students graduate on time in the United States. This is a concerning statistic, as research has shown that students who graduate high school on time are more likely to go on to college and have successful careers.
Furthermore, a report from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) found that American students rank 35th in math, 27th in science, and 20th in reading out of 72 countries. This indicates that there is a significant gap in the quality of education that students in the United States are receiving compared to their counterparts around the world.
